Alentta Lawyers appoints three new partners

Alentta Lawyers, law firm founded in 2006 by José Juan Cortina and Leopoldo Gimeno, consolidates its growth appointing three new equity partners in the firm core practice areas: tax, corporate and litigation. The new partners are

 

  • Juan Carlos Cerdá, LL.M. in Business Law and Executive LL.M. in Taxation by IE Law School, joined Alentta Lawyers‘ tax department in 2012, after having worked both for international (PricewaterhouseCoopers) and national (Broseta Abogados) top-level law firms. He is a specialist in tax advice to groups and large companies and in corporate restructuring operations. Juan Carlos also regularly advises professional sportsmen on compliance with their tax obligations in Spain and on an international level.

 

  • Ignacio Bordera, Degree in Law from Deusto University and Insolvency Law specialist by ICAV (Valencia Bar Association), is a member of the corporate department of Alentta Lawyers since 2011, which he joined after developing his entire professional career in Garrigues Lawyers. He has been advising on a regular basis national and international companies in various aspects of corporate law and he has been involved in complex corporate deals and lots of investment processes. His practice areas includes corporate law, restructuring and insolvencies. He has successfully intervened in leading companies’ refinancing processes in their respective sectors as well as in different bankruptcy procedures representing the debtor company.

 

  • Antonio García, LL.M. in Business Law by FEBF, manages the litigation department of Alentta Lawyers since 2013, being specialised in banking law and complex financial products, appearing regularly both before the courts and arbitral tribunals representing companies and individuals in disputes concerning business law. Antonio is a registered arbitrator with the “Tribunal Arbitral de Valencia” and an expert in Insolvency Law by ICAV (Valencia Bar Association), defending also clients in relevant corporate criminal law cases.

 

Through these appointments Alentta Lawyers‘ managing partners, Leopoldo Gimeno and José Juan Cortina, strengthen the three practice areas of the firm and consolidate its growth with the aim to continue offering high value added advice services by means of lawyers of broad experience and proven specialization. Such promotions are complemented with junior lawyers recently hired for each of the firm departments.
